The Next Generation Global Leaders Program

“The Ship for World Youth Leaders” 2016 (SWY28)

240 participants from 11 countries around the world (120 Japanese participants and 120 overseas participants) will experience the opportunity of a lifetime by gathering in Japan and boarding the Ship for World Youth Leaders to be part of a number of activities in the framework of international cooperation and cultural understanding.
The program will be held from 14 January untill 1 March, 2016. 

“The Ship for World Youth Leaders” (SWY28) consists of onshore, onboard, and overseas training sessions.

The aims of the Program are

  • to develop the ability to deal with different cultures and the communication skills
  • to improve leadership and management skills through the discussion and cultural exchange with those from various countries and various backgrounds, and by listening to the seminars by experts and planning activities and holding workshops by themselves
  • to deepen the mutual understanding
  • to broaden global views
  • to strengthen the spirit of international cooperation
  • cultivate yout who are capable of contributing to society by exercising their leadershi skills in various fields in the globalizing and diversifying society
  • to establish strong human network beyond national borders
